A description of the essential preference used on Folio & Found and the optional tracking categories not in operation.
1. Cookies and related technologies
Cookies are small data files placed on a device by a website or by a third party whose resources the page uses. Other browser storage techniques may serve a similar purpose. UK privacy rules can apply to both cookies and similar methods of storing or accessing device information.
Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookie tools. It keeps a basic preference relating to the cookie notice so you do not have to dismiss the same notice during every subsequent visit. That preference is used to provide a straightforward site experience.
2. Essential site preferences
The essential notice preference records whether the visitor has dismissed the short cookie information strip. This preference does not identify you by name, does not follow you between unrelated websites and is not used to create an advertising profile.
Essential technical processes may also be used by website infrastructure to deliver pages securely, troubleshoot errors or protect against misuse. Where a device-storage operation is strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user, it can fall within an exemption from the usual cookie consent requirement.
3. Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies can be used elsewhere on the internet to count visits, understand how pages are used and measure performance across browsing sessions. Folio & Found does not currently set analytics cookies or run an on-site analytics script.
If we introduce any analytics technologies in the future that require consent, we will update this policy and provide the relevant information and controls before enabling them for visitors who have not agreed.
4. Advertising and marketing cookies
Marketing cookies and other tracking tools can be used by advertisers to personalise ads, measure conversions or associate activity with a profile across services. This website does not currently set such cookies or enable an on-site retargeting pixel.
The feature may be reached through an advertising network and it contains a sponsored external link. Those facts do not mean that this website itself places advertising cookies. Third-party websites may have their own independent tracking practices and privacy controls once you visit them.
5. Third-party resources and links
The page requests web fonts from Google Fonts. When those resources are fetched, the font provider may receive technical connection details under its own service arrangements; those requests are not presented as an on-site analytics or advertising system operated by Folio & Found.
The Yale product link takes you directly to an external site managed by the seller. Yale's own cookie choices and privacy policy apply to that separate website. Our policy does not control cookies on external pages you choose to open.
6. Duration and how to manage preferences
The notice preference remains in your browser until you clear the site information, reset the relevant browser settings or we change the way the notice operates. Essential server-side records, if any, are retained according to the operational needs described in our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
You can usually review, block or delete site data through your browser's privacy settings. Blocking some essential device storage may mean a preference, including your notice-dismissal choice, is not remembered. Because we do not set on-site optional tracking cookies, there are no optional cookie categories to enable or withdraw consent for on this page.
7. Updates and questions
We will revise this policy if the site's cookie use, the external resources loaded or the relevant legal rules change. The published date at the top identifies the version currently in use.
